 I had the great pleasure of working with Aaron during my time as an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Theatre and Dance at Middle Tennessee State University. In the short time we worked together, I found a willing conspirator for my sometimes-mathematically-complicated barre exercises, in the interest of engaging my dance students' intellect during 8 am ballet classes. Aaron's improvisational skill is unmatched, as he always found a way to reflect not only the mood of the movement, but tap into the energy of the room – whether to provide a counterbalance or to provide buoyancy. His sensitive playing and the mischievous twinkle in his eyes never failed to lift my heart, and I miss the rapport we developed.
